An incomplete copper alloy one-piece Colchester type brooch dating to the 1st century AD, missing the catch plate and pin. The brooch consists of the bow which is comma shaped and narrows to a point at the foot. The bow is oval in cross section. The bow curves then flattens towards the head. Only a tiny part of the catch plate remains. Attached to the head is the remains of the spring. This is attached by a circular loop, and is a coil.
