Incomplete Roman copper alloy finger ring dating from the 2nd or 3rd Century. The ring has a dished six sided recessed bezel. The bezel has two long sides and four shorter sides. Each of the longer sides is positioned in line with each of the shoulders of the ring. The sides of the bezel are angled away from the centre at a width of 3mm each. The inside of the bezel would have held glass or enamel, currently inside are the remains of a white paste which may have been a bonding agent. The shoulders are 1mm in width and between 6mm and 8mm long, rectangular in shape with the long sides forming the connection across the hoop. The hoop is incomplete.
