A complete Modern copper-alloy harness fitting/distribution loop (c. 1800-c. 1950).
This fitting has an oval-shaped frame which is oval in cross-section and measures c. 55.0mm in length, 33.3mm. At one end there is an integral pear-shaped knop which is oval in cross-section. Extending from this knop is an integral roughly 'D'-shaped loop which is at right angles to the other loop and is fixed (not swivelling). This loop measures 21.0mm in length and 27.0mm in width. Both loops are oval in cross-section.
The fitting is reddish brown overall and has a fleck of gilding on the larger loop.
Overall length: 82.3mm; width: 33.3mm; thickness: 27.0mm. Weight: 35.19g.
