Silver annular brooch fragment. Cast rectangular section band with a constriction for a pin [lost], across which the object is broken, with the loss of half its extent. The larger part of the band is decorated by a series of elongated stepped figures which overlap one another, a sharp kink in each element being emphasised by a short radial nick. These give way to doubled rows of five closely juxtaposed pellets flanked by partial rows. These features lie at a point opposite the pin seat, and may either have served as or flanked a pin rest. Suggested date: Medieval, 1200-1300. In view of its material and probable age this object is to be subject to the Treasure process, reference 2017 T 52.
