Copper alloy possible pin fragment. A cast fragment of a plate with a probably curved outer edge, from an object of estimated original diameter c.50mm. One side bears interlaced decoration with three concentric sub-triangular figures abutting the edge of a curved panel, possibly representing a repeated series of lentoid features between concave-sided triangles. The estimated size might suggest this to be a fragment from the head of a disc-headed pin. Suggested date: Early Medieval, 750-800.
