A complete post-Medieval copper-alloy square double-sided coin weight for a rose noble or half ryal made by Maarten De Mont in 1626 (pers. comm. Paul Withers 19/1/2017).
Side 1: Single masted sailing vessel with standing rigging fore and aft, fore and after castle, rose on hull. R to left side of mast-head which has a pennant to the right.
Side 2: Arms of Zeeland. Lion emerging from waves, two Ms at side of lion (just above waves), in the field above the Ms to the left, is 16, and to the right is 26, D in exergue.
Length: 14.7mm; width: 14.7mm; thickness: 1.8mm. Weight: 2.90g.
