Less than half of a post-medieval copper alloy two-piece saddle pommel cap, with a knop terminal, two pairs of oblique engraved lines, and half of a third pair at the vertical join. The base and the attachment wing or lug is missing. One edge is distorted. Extant height 46mm. Cf. Read 1995, no. 808. Quite possibly part of the same object as NMS-45DE4 which was recovered from the same field at the same time. 16th - 17th century.
