Incomplete medieval copper alloy buckle: oval frame with an offset, narrowed bar, convex sides and a sheet roller on the recessed outside edge which protrudes slightly at the sides; pin worked into a square cross-section; sheet plate with slight frame recesses, a pin slot, one rivet hole near the missing inside edge. Very close to Egan and Pritchard 1991, no.315. The frame is in a darker green surfaced alloy than the pin and plate. Overall extant length 35.4mm. Frame length and width 15.5 and 21.7mm. Late 13th - 14th century.
