A complete, worn, damaged and bent Medieval silver penny of Edward I (1272-1307), minted at Bury St Edmunds. Probably class 10cf, 1305-1310 (North 1991: 32, refs: 1040-1043).

Obverse: EDWAR ANGL DNS hYB, Crowned bust facing with a bifoliate crown and wedged drapery.

Reverse: VILL/SCIE/D[ ]/[ ]DI, Long cross dividing the inscription with three pellets in each quadrant.

Diameter: 17.4mm. Weight: 1.23g. DA=12:3.
