A near complete flint borer of Neolithic-Early Bronze age date (c. 4000BC - 1000BC).
Descriptions: The borer is irregularly shaped, near dog leg. The dorsal face is very convex and formed by substantial flaking, this leaves the borer triangular cross-section. on the Dorsal side there is retouch along a concave edge near the proximal/striking end, forming a hollow scraper edge. The main point however has short sub-parallel abrupt retouch. shaping the point. There is also substantial cortex on the dorsal side. The ventral side has a very shallow bulb of percussion but fairly medium conchoidal fracturing. The flint is mottled light-dark grey except for the cortex which off white.
Measurements: 51.78mm long, 29.45mm wide, 12.41mm thick and 13.41g in weight.
