An incomplete lead-alloy post-medieval object, probably a commemorative token or medal. The cast object is a circular disc of metal that has been folded or bent, with edges meeting at the one end of the object and flaring at the opposite, so as to form an irregular cone. There is no indication as to whether this occured pre or post-deposition.
The object is 29.66mm in diameter, 2.4mm thick and weighs 10.6g.
There appears to be a legend arranged circumferentially around the obverse exposed edge of the medal, with further lettering and possibly a design toward the centre; however, corrosion and abrasion have rendered any script illegible. The reverse of the medal, partially visible within the fold, appears blank. The flared end of the folded medal is damaged and abraded. Two sub-circular clipped areas on the medal may indicate the position of attachments.
