A complete cast lead lead-alloy token dating to the late Medieval or early Post-Medieval periods, c. 1450-1550. It is of very large size, and probably derives from or is related to the Bury/Ely series of 'Boy Bishop' types. One face depicts a central pellet, with two concentric bands of decoration comprising oblique linear strokes around. The other face depicts a short cross with three pellets in each angle within a central circular panel, outside of which there are two concentric bands of decoration and oblique lines as with the opposite face. This gives an appearance remeniscent of a Medieval groat. Preserved in good condition despite being somewhat bent and distorted, the token measures 31.48mm in diameter, 2.68mm thick at its midpoint, and weighs 8.04g.
