An incomplete copper alloy headstud brooch dating to the Roman period. The brooch has short wings which are decorated with three vertical ridges. At the top of the head is an incomplete attachment loop. Towards the front of the head is an oval moulding which is worn. The bow of the brooch curves outwards and down from the head, tapering in width to where it terminates in an ancient and worn break. The foot, catchplate and pin are missing. The brooch is a hinged example and the top of the pin remains.
