Medieval or later? copper alloy dress hook? 31mm in length, 20mm wide and 1mm thick with a weight of 2.84grams. The object has a rectangular form and cross section. It has two projecting circular loops at one end, bowed sides and a linear break at its lower end. It is very worn but some has circular stamped decoration which appears to form crossing lines and is mostly gilded. The shape is suggestive of a strap end, but the gilding is unusual and it could be an unusual dress hook?
