An incomplete, folded medieval silver penny probably of Edward I (1272-1307) or Edward II (1307-1327). Probably Class 10 onwards dating to c. 1300-1335. Mint of Canterbury. North (1991).
The coin has been folded over on itself in two unequal parts. At the fold there is a break at one end, the loss equating to around 20% of the original flan. The crease is cracked along most of its length. The coin measures 14.9 mm long, 10.5 mm wide, 0.4 mm in thickness (original coin), and up to 2.8 mm thick where folded. It weighs 0.82 g
