Fragment of a post-medieval copper alloy book clasp, both ends broken, one across a transverse row of round perforations, the other immediately beyond short lateral projections with two transverse grooves. The main part is covered with closely spaced fine longitudinal grooves. A rivet hole is placed in the centre near the grooved projections. Extant length 27mm. Width 17mm. 16th century.
