An incomplete Post Medieval lead alloy toy watch dating AD 1700-1750. The front surface is cast with the pattern of the watch face, the back is blank. On the front surface moving from outside to inside, it has an outer circular section of a floral pattern and then a beaded ring and then the chapter ring which is marked with roman numerals, then a simple line ring, the next ring is hard to decipher if there is a pattern or if it is plain and then there is another beaded ring and finally the integrally cast hands which are arranged to show 6 o'clock. This toy has been folded and straightened out, a ridge shows where it was folded. There is a small section of the outer rim missing.
Parallel records exist in Forsyth & Egan (2004) as Type 11, Design 2: 12.54 Watch; and Type 11, Design 4: 12.56 Watch - both of which suggest a date of AD 1700-1750 and is the date allotted for this example.
