An incomplete copper-alloy candle holder of Post-Medieval date, c.AD 1530 - 1650. Only a small portion of the holder remains which is circular and hollow with parallel sides which end in worn breaks. The base tapers to a narrow circular stem which also terminates in a worn break.
The metal has a dark green patina and is worn. The holder is 22.4mm long, 17.1mm to 6.5mm in diameter, 1.6mm thick and weighs 9.2g.
A similar example can be seen in Egan p.81, fig.69, no.337 and is dated to c.1530 - 1650. Similar examples can also be seen on the Portable Antiquities Scheme database as NCL-B92ED5, IOW-AF4617 and BERK-8FEF75.
