Late Neolithic to early Bronze age flint plano-convex knife, with detenticulate retouch down one edge, length: 45 mm, width: 25 mm, thickness: 5 mm, weight: 6.38 g.
The object is sub-circular in form and ovoid in cross section with a brown patina. Its dorsal surface is covered in scaled low angle re-touch and its ventral surface is flat except for traces of a bulb of percussion. It has a 'leaf' like shape having one distinctly rounded edge which terminates in an off centre point at its distal end. This rounded edge has low angle, stepped re-touch to form a blade surface. The opposite edge is more roughly worked, with a more serrated edge.
