A medieval copper-alloy strap end, dating to the period 1350-1450. It is a composite strap end composed of two plates joined by a spacer. The rivets are well concealed, but there is one rivet at the top of the strap end in the centre. The strap end is broadly rectangular shape with a small knop projecting from one end, and three knops projecting from the other. It is plain with no decoration, but has a dark green patina. The strap end measures 25.64mm in length and 13.61mm wide.The weight is 3.10g.
For parallels, a similar strap end is in Egan, G., Pritchard, F. (1991), p. 143, no. 660. There is also WILT-C5D7E1.
