A Post Medieval lead alloy token of Powell type 2. The item is circular in shape and both front and reverse faces are flat. The front face has a raised border of pellets and a B at the centre. The reverse is plain. The token is bent over and there is a slight fracture at 11 0'clock, which is probably the result of post depositional deamage. Diameter: 26 mm.
Lead tokens are hard to date as they were usually produced locally for a wide range of purposes, a broadly Post Medieval date is suggested because of th use of a letter int he design.
