Incomplete post-medieval tin-coated copper alloy strap fitting or dress fastener, the hooked or male part of a clasp with a heart-shaped openwork aperture and transverse grooves. The T-shaped spigot at the end opposite the hook is missing. Extant length 23.3mm. Width 18.4mm. Very close to Read 2008, no. 703, early post-medieval Class E, Type 1. c.1540 - c.1700.
