Post medieval crotal bell. An integrally cast drilled rectangular loop. The upper hemisphere exhibits a series of engraved lines radiating from around the loop and two sound holes. The hemispheres are separated by a circumferential ridge. The lower hemisphere exhibits a long sound slit with a sound hole at either end. Surrounding this are a series of radiating engraved petals. On one side of the sound slit is a recessed heater-shaped shield with the initial T within. The iron pea is stuck to the sides with corrosion product.
