A copper alloy medieval single loop buckle dating to the period AD c. 1250-1400. The buckle is D-shape in plan with wide and thick frame and a narrow strap bar. The junction between the latter and the frame is marked by two knobs. The pin is missing. Both the upper and lower surface of the buckle are smooth and undecorated.
The buckle measures 15.12mm in length, 22.24mm in width, 3.17mm thick and weighs 1.75g.
Similar buckles are illustrated in Whitehead R. (2003), p. 19.
