~~Copper alloy hair pint that has a globular head decorated to resemble an acorn. This has a radial grove at the waist, with cross hatched recessed lines below and a small ring on the apex of the head.
The shaft of the pin is truncated and only 100 long, it has a diameter of 2mm at the head, then tapes towards the terminal.
Another example recorded on this database at NMS-B96A44 which references this being broadly related to Cool 1990, Group 20 (Fig.11.4-5). 2nd-3rd century AD.
