Abraded medieval gilt copper alloy harness pendant in rather abraded condition, circular with a central boss and a probably secondary round perforation near the base. The boss sits within an engraved eight-pointed star reserved on a field of punched annulets. The decoration, which is very faint, is in a similar style to that of a six-pointed star on a pendant from Wiveton, Norfolk (Ashley 2002, fig. 6 no. 12) and on an eight-pointed example from Suffield, Norfolk (NMS-D42167). One speck of gilding remains. Rust on the loop suggests an iron spindle. Height 43mm. Width / diameter 31.5mm. 12th century.
