Medieval bar mount from a strap or belt, Copper alloy, rectangular with a raised longitudinal band flanked by two grooves each of which contains two rows of impressed triangles conter set to give zig-zag lines. Through the plate is a 1.7mm diameter hole, which is not set on the centre line. Either side of this are two, integrally cast rivets, each 1.8mm in diameter x 2.5mm long, there ends expanded the secure them in place. Strap mounts like this have been found in London in contexts dating to 1270-1350 (Egan and Pritchard, 1990, Fig. 133). Length 12.0mm, Width 7.2mm, Thickness 1.2mm, Mass 0.62g.
