A lead alloy spindle whorl of medieval to post-medieval date. The object is circular in plan and bi-conical with a central circular perforation. The perforation has an internal diameter of 8mm. Each face is worn with no visible decoration however slight bumps in the surface indicate the presence of decorative pellets.
