A rimsherd of a wheel thrown ceramic vessel, of probable Medieval dating (AD 1200 to AD1400).
The rimsherd consists of a local (unsourced) unglazed earthenware, with frequent fine quartz inclusions, probably dating from the 11th to 15th Centuries AD, most likely from a jug. No enough survives of the rim to estimate original diameter.
The sherd is 10.3 mm thick and weighs 51.0 g. It has a length of 38.4 mm and is 76.0 mm wide.
