A cast copper alloy Post Medieval mount dating to circa AD 1500-1700. The mount is oval or lentoid in plan with a convex front face and concave reverse. Located at the centre of the reverse is an integrally cast rectangular shank which narrows to a sharp point. There are similar mounts recorded on the database; NLM-5EA30B discovered in Lincolnshire and WILT-BB4630 discovered in Wiltshire. The object has a mid green coloured patina across all surfaces.
The mount measures 19.19mm in length, 10.19 mm in width and 10.98mm thickness which includes the shank. It weighs 2 grams.
