Lead spindle whorl. Cast sub-cylindrical whorl with a curved lower edge [as cast] and a central moulded aperture of diameter 12.2mm, Walton Rogers form B. Patinated lightly. The mass may suggest a primary function plying cord. The ample spindle hole may hint at an Anglo-Scandinavian date. Suggested date: Early Medieval, 950-1100.
