A medieval copper alloy double loop buckle dating to the period c.AD 1350-1450. The buckle comprises two oval loops in plan, separated by a central axis bar, and is D shaped in cross section. The axis bar has the remains of the iron pin wrapped around it. The reverse is undecorated. A green patina is present on the surface, with areas of iron corrosion in places.
The buckle measures 29.64mm in length, 22.84mm in width and 2.35mm in thickness. It weighs 4.74g.
