An incomplete copper alloy post-medieval buckle, dating to the period c.AD 1600-1720. The buckle is broadly rectangular in plan, with rounded corners, and is rectangular in cross-section. It comprises two loops and a central axis bar, but the pin is missing. A trilobed trefoil knop is present at the outer edge of each loop, each with a rosette. Trefoil sides with trefoil mouldings are present at each end of the strap bar. The reverse is undecorated. A brown-red patina is on the surface.
The buckle measures 46.84mm in length, 30.72mm in width, 1.85mm in thickness and weighs 6.38g
