A complete cast copper alloy mount of medieval date. This item is a small (15.26mm in length, 4.57mm in width) rectangular bar mount or strap fitting, flat (0.63mm thick) but with a raised D shape central panel on the obverse ( c2.5mm in width and 1.11mm thick). There are three drilled holes within this raised panel, one at each end and a slightly larger (c2mm in diameter) central perforation. It weighs 0.29g.
