An incomplete post-Medieval copper-alloy double-looped buckle (c. 1500-c. 1650).

The pin and most of one loop are missing.

The surviving loop is moulded at the front and flat at the rear. At the outer edge is a projecting roundel or rosette. The narrowed bar is triangular in cross-section, flat at the rear. At each end of the bar there is a small knop.

The buckle frame is corroded and generally green with traces of iron staining.

Length: 26.4mm; width: 24.7mm; thickness: 4.5mm. Weight: 3.77g.
