An Iron Age to Roman ceramic vessel rim sherd, probably part of a bowl or jar (c. 100 BC-c. AD 100).

This sherd has a beaded rim and the surfaces and core are a dark grey. The outer surface has been burnished. The matrix is generously tempered with rounded quartz or sand although there are also a few angular pieces.

Height: 36.5mm; width: 33.8mm, maximum thickness: 9.2mm. Weight: 14.48g.
