Medieval copper alloy single loop buckle dating to the period c. AD 1250 - 1400. D-shaped frame with a narrowed and recessed strap bar. The strap bar exhibits traces of solder, probably from the missing buckle plate or strap end. The outer edge of the frame is expanded and bevelled on the reverse, with a moulded knop at either end and a central V-shaped notch for the pin rest.

Similar examples are discussed in Whitehead, R, 2003, p. 21.
