A flint thumb-nail scraper of very late Neolithic/Chalcolithic (Beaker Period) date c.2400-2200 BC.
Description: The flint is rounded save for the striking platform edge. It has has short scaled abrupt retouch around the entirety of the rounded edges. The ventral face has been heavily rework to flatten the bulb of percussion with long invasive low angled retouch. Almost all the striking appears to be with heavy hammer technology. The scraper is a light grey mottling through some patches of dark grey.
