A Middle Saxon copper alloy ansate brooch. The brooch originally had two equally lengthed arms; the surviving one is rectangular in plan and domed in section. The brooch has a high arch in the centre with each side decorated with three pairs of incised lines. Two incomplete lugs extend from the bottom of the surviving arm.
