Medieval copper alloy oval buckle frame with an offset, narrowed bar and a straight or ornate edge recessed between two knops for a sheet roller. Most of the transverse engraved lines on the roller continue onto the knops. Rust over most of the bar suggests an iron plate and perhaps pin. Length 20mm. Width 22.5mm. c.1270 - c.1400.
