Incomplete Roman copper alloy Colchester derivative, Rear hook brooch, Mackreth (2011) Type CD RH. Worn and corroded, broken rear-hook, the C-sectioned wings and the rear and sides of the upper part of the bow are obscured by a large lump of iron corrosion. The face of the bow has traces of a band of tranverse grooves just below the mid-point, Stump of broken bow with iron corrosion on the reverse of the foot. Extant length 35.5mm. Extant wingspan 21mm. c.43 - c.65 AD.
