Medieval to Post Medieval (late 13th to 16th century) buckle: The copper alloy buckle frame is possibly a double looped oval frame as only the strap bar remains. The loops are both missing. There is a small spur at the terminal of the strap bar. The strap bar is a rounded trapezoid in section. The pin is missing. The buckle has a dark grey patina. The buckle measures 12.31mm in length, 37.91mm wide along the strap bar and weighs 2.65g.
The buckle dates to the late 13th to 16th century.
