Incomplete Roman Coclester derivative Dolphin brooch dating to the period c. AD 43 - 65. The sprung pin mechanism, the foot and the catchplate are missing.
The head exhibits incomplete C-shaped wings with a circular recess in the centre. Just above the perforation is a slight ridge which may be the remains of a hook. The bow arches steeply back from the head and tapers to an old break.
