Copper alloy possible bridle cheekpiece. Cast oval loop springing from a slightly expanded stem with lightly facetted sides from which project two short opposed arms, similarly angled away from the loop, and each broken at its end. An S shaped link of drawn and hammered wire is threaded through one of the loops. The base of the stem is stepped, and apparently broken across a narrower round section continuation. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1750-1850.
