An incomplete and heavily worn copper-alloy farthing trade token issued by Henry Baines of Stevenage, Hertfordshire, in 1667. Williamson vol. II, p. 327, no. 189. Another example has been recorded on the database (also found in Sussex) see SUSS-C30B14.

Reverse description/legend; 'Henry Baines' in two lines, flowing cursive script

Notes:

Farthing trade tokens were first issued in 1648, with halfpenny tokens following later. They were finally suppressed in 1674 by royal decree.
