A complete medieval copper alloy composite strap end dating to c. 1350-1400 AD. The strap end is made up of sub rectangular shaped plates, narrowing slightly towards the terminal end. At the centre of the terminal end is a triangular protrusion on both plates. At the attachment end of the plates there is a circular rivet hole in each corner, on one side remains of the iron rivet is still in situ. There is orange iron staining around the holes. The outer surface of the strap end has remains of a silver wash over the surface. Underneath this is a light green patina. The strap end measures 28.6mm in length, 12.8mm in width, and 6.0mm in maximum thickness. It weighs 3.17g.
The strap end is similar to one in Egan and Pritchard 1991, page 142, 660
