WEIGHT

Unique ID: NMS-F95A8E

Object type certainty: Certain
Workflow status: Awaiting validation Find awaiting validation

Probably medieval lead weight, "bun" shaped, i.e. round, flat-based with the upper part of the sides narrowing to the top. Basal and top diameter 20 and 10mm. Thickness or height 11.6mm. Weight 28.32g / 0.9990oz avoirdupois / 0.9105oz troy. Because some weight loss is indicated by pockmarking a value of 1 ounce troy is more likely. Perhaps 12th - 15th century.
