Cast copper-alloy asymmetrical double-looped buckle frame, one loop rectangular, the other "D" shaped in plan. There appears to be patches of black lacquer on the upper face.
Whitehead (1996) illustrates a similar example on page 90, no.561, which is dated from c.1575-1700.
