Lead spindle whorl. Cast whorl of plano-convex profile with a central moulded aperture of diameter 11.4mm, Walton Rogers form A1; patinated. The ample sized spindle hole suggests an Anglo-Scandinavian date, while the mass may suggest a primary function plying cord. Suggested date: Early Medieval, 850-1000.
