A post-medieval copper-alloy 17th-century token farthing issued by Edward Coales of Cannington, Somerset. Williamson (1967, 975) Somerset no. 78, dating to 1648 to 1672.

Notes:

Trade tokens were first issued in 1648, first in the form of farthings and later with the addition of halfpenny tokens. They were suppressed by royal decree in 1672.
